Curriculum

At DHS, curriculum plays a very important role as we at DHS believe that learning is not just about teaching, books and lessons but much more than that.

At DHS the emphasis is more on the overall development of the child, as we understand that schooling is the time in the life of every child, which influences their future. Our students are encouraged to set their own targets and work towards achieving them, thus improving their own standards.

Children growing up now need to be much smarter as individuals. In such circumstances, rather than focusing on books of information and content, rather than providing them with ready-made answers to questions and solutions to ‘probable’ problems and crises, we need to empower our children by concentrating on developing all their skills and processing systems and by helping them mature into complete creative personalities.

At DHS the curriculum is designed keeping in view of the overall development of a child. The classroom is the nerve center of the activities that are undertaken in shaping and grooming the leaders of tomorrow. The curriculum not only concentrates on the academics but also on the qualitative development of every individual child. The teaching sessions are interactive and the continuous Assessment Programme ensures that the evaluation of the child is both comprehensive and holistic. The focus of school education must be entirely on the fullest possible development of the wide variety of dimensions of the mind and spirit that constitute the personality. In DHS Education and learning at school will be a very happy and joyful process through which all the individual talents, abilities and potential of children are discovered, kindled, nurtured and sustained to enable them to lead a life of spiritual, intellectual, emotional, cultural, social, and professional fullness and integrity as adults. The curriculum is well planned and systematized for the overall development of school children.
